As usual there were a ton of HDTV released at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this year -- 17 new models from Sony alone -- so separating the wheat from the chaff is not an easy task. One model that caught our attention comes from Sony's 2008 Bravia W-Series LCD line -- the 40-inch KDL-40W4100 which uses Sony's new Motionflow 120Hz high frame rate technology. While plasma TVs are generally thought to reproduce fast motion better than LCD sets, Sony's Motionflow technology should help change that. This 1080p high-def set won't, unfortunately, be available until the Spring so you'll miss the Super Bowl. However, it should arrive just in time for the start of baseball season.
$1,999 (estimated)
